In a Co-operative Nursery School the parents of a child that is registered become active Members in the Co-operative. Parents and children both benefit from the parent's active participation in their child's first school experience. Parents are able to see their child's Nursery School experience first hand during duty days and daily feedback is given by teacher(s) during pick-up time. Open and ongoing communication between parents and the school is necessary to ensure the success of the program. Regular communication regarding the program is maintained through: a monthly newsletter; a calendar of events outlining themes, special days and upcoming field trips; and a bulletin board describing daily planned activities. The school also makes every effort to encourage parents to provide input, feedback and comments.
