 | Village Library Saved!! - Thursday, February 07, 2008Most recently, OVCA made representations to protest the possible closure of the village library due to city budget pressures. We were successful and your library remains open with a full range of services. We will be looking at ways to encourage more usage to prevent this from happening in the future.

 | CANADA DAY July 1 - Thursday, February 07, 2008The New Year is upon us and The Osgoode Village Canada Day Committee, a committee of the
Osgoode Village Community Association (OCVA) is already into the planning stages for Canada Day. As
fortunate as we are to have people in this Village who contribute their time in various ways, this year the committee still
requires several key positions to be filled in: Parade Marshall - Children's Activities Coordinator - Four (4)
District Captains (These captains will co-ordinate canvassing the village for fireworks funds.)
If you can help with any of these positions, or have any other suggestions for Canada Day, please contact this year's Canada Day
Committee Chairperson, Sheila Gibson at kandsgibson@rogers.com. We look forward to having you join our team.

 | Osgoode Scotiabank has donated $2,800 - Thursday, February 07, 2008We’re pleased to report that Osgoode Scotiabank has donated $2,800 to our beautification fund. Staff and clients donated items for a silent auction held at the branch through December, and the corporation matched the amount raised. The funds are expected to pay for flowers we will plant and maintain in boxes at various public locations along Main Street. Many thanks to our village bank for stepping up with this generous donation.
