The school offers two half day programs for children 21/2 to 4 years of age

Program Times

• 3 Day program runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00–11:30am
• 2 Day program runs Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00–11:30am

9:00 am:               Drop Off

9:05 am:               Books/ Circle Time(Calendar, weather, songs, rhymes, finger plays and review morning activities)

9:35 am:               Free Play

-          Creative Corner (paint easel, drawing and crafts)

-          Block Area

-          Dress Up Area

-          Puzzles

-          Table top cognitive toys

-          Quiet Corner (books and music)

-          Sensory Bin (water, sand, etc)

10:05 am:             Washroom Routine

10:15 am:             Snack                                         

10:30 am:             Activity/Craft

11:05 am:             Outdoor Play (weather permitting)

11:30 am:             Pick-up

 **Note: Based on availability within the public school, classes may be offered time in the gym and library. The director will notify parents of these time frames.

School Calendar

The school year starts the week after Labour Day and ends mid June, closing for Statutory Holidays, a two-week Christmas break and March break. We do not close for Professional Activity days.

 The week before school begins you will be notified of the day when your child is to begin school. Children are introduced to the class gradually and this staggered entry allows the teacher(s) to spend as much time as possible with the new children on their first day of school in order to help them overcome any hesitation and to make friends with classmates.

Community Awareness and Field Trips

On a monthly basis, the program integrates community awareness activities through field trips or visits from a special guest such as a firefighter, dental hygienist, police officer or nutritionist. Show and Tell, holiday themes and special event days are also incorporated into the program on a regular basis.
