WHAT IS IT? A musical jam session with a variety of musicians playing and singing classic country and fiddle music. There is also space for dancing if you wish. The music stops at mid afternoon for a coffee and snack break. Everyone is welcome. LOCATION : Osgoode Community Centre hall ( second floor ) 5660 Main St. Osgoode Ont. There is an elevator for those who need it TIME: The 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. September to May, beginning SEPTEMBER 10TH. SNACKS: Pot luck and Supplied by Attendees. If your last name starts with letter A to M, bring food for the 2nd Wednesday. N to Z bring food for the 4th Wednesday. Eg: one small plate of cookies or tarts or fruit etc. Coffee and tea will be supplied. FEE: There is no set admission fee, but there is a donation jar to pay for expenses. Lifetree Cafe, an hour of stories and conversation to feed your soul, is being provided every Thursday night, 6:30-7:30 pm beginning Oct. 2nd at Trinity Bible Church, 4101 Stagecoach Rd., Osgoode, K0A 2W0 The theme of the first Lifetreecafe is "Follow Your Dreams". On Oct. 9th the theme will be "Allergic to Food". Each week has a different theme. Everyone welcome. Come whenever you can. No admission fee.


The Osgoode Cooperative Nursery School is now accepting registrations for the 2014-15 school year for children aged 30 months to 4 years. Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for the Nursery School program, a child must be 30 months of age by December 31st of the current school year and be potty-learning. They will share a story and a short video presentation featuring Sparky the Fire Dog as part of Prevention Week Ages 3-10 Moving to Your Heart Beat - Registration Required Saturday November 1st @ 10:30am Ages 5-8yr. Ottawa Storytellers present an hour workshop with local storyteller, Jacques Du Toit. Children will explore storytelling though music, using body movement and vocal sounds to express emotions. For ADULTS: Book Club - First Monday of the month at 2 pm - Drop In Sept.8th - Defending Jacob by William Landay Oct. 6th - Bel Canto by Ann Patchett Nov. 3rd - Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein Dec. 1st - The Truth About Luck by Iain Reid Fibre Club - Monday at 2pm and Thursday at 6pm - Drop in Not just about knitting, memers of the Osgoode Fibre Club meet and share information about a variety of crafts such as embroidery, and tatting as well as knitting.
